Deer Valley Resort has unveiled its plans for the recently acquired Mayflower Resort, marking a significant development in the skiing landscape. The new ski facilities, to be named Deer Valley East Village, will be strategically located along Highway U.S. 40, headed southbound to Heber City. Emphasizing a commitment to its founding principles, Deer Valley aims to enhance accessibility and enrich the guest experience through this expansion.

This facility will house essential amenities such as ski school, children's programs, rentals, retail, and dining options. Additionally, the provision of 1,200 new parking spaces exclusively for day-skiers aims to improve accessibility and alleviate traffic concerns in Park City.

Deer Valley East Village, positioned at the base of a substantial terrain expansion, is set to introduce over 3,700 acres of new ski terrain. The expansion includes 16 new chairlifts, featuring a ten-passenger gondola, providing access across four new peaks that connect the existing and newly added Deer Valley terrain. The phased rollout of the new terrain is scheduled over multiple seasons, with the majority opening in the 2025/2026 winter season.

Upon completion, Deer Valley Resort will boast over 5,726 acres of skiable terrain, served by 37 chairlifts accessing 238 ski runs. 

Apart from the expanded terrain and new ski facilities, Deer Valley East Village will feature 800 hotel rooms, nearly 1,700 residential units, 250,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000 square feet dedicated to recreation. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, expected to open in late 2024, will contribute 387 guestrooms, 40 suites, 55 private residences, and nearly 40,000 square feet of conference and event space. The partnership between Deer Valley and Extell Development Company underscores their commitment to establishing a destination where luxury, recreation, and accessibility seamlessly converge.
